    Hey,
Most likely same for most bikes, but this one is for an FZR 1000.
I started digging a bit into the spare bike that I have. When pulling the carbs, I can see some water standing.

I haven't drained the oil yet but just curious if there is something like pour oil down.
Again, haven't done anything yet, just wanted to check in before I break something.

Is that water pooling on the intake valves? The bike may have been left outside without the fuel tank on it, and because it has downdraft carbs, any water will make it all the way down into the crankcase. You wont be able to know how much is in there until you remove the oil drain plug.

So, get a large bucket (could be way more than 3 quarts) and be prepared to see water draining out before the oil starts flowing when you pull out the plug. If you can turn it over by hand that's a good sign. However, I would pull the spark plugs and make sure to get some oil down in the cylinders before cranking it over with the battery.

If you can't turn it over, then you'll have to soak the cylinders with automatic transmission fluid (does a great job of breaking down crud around the rings) so you can turn it over by hand.

    Thanks Tony.
I'll probably drain it tonight. Have to order new oil first before I can try to turn it over, just used my last few bottles on my bike.
And yes, some water is pooling there.

just put some cheap oil in it. you only want to turn it over and run it a few minutes, then drain it and put good stuff in.
