Water pump S-type oil seal direction

    Going thru the water pump on an '85 XJ700X and it's time to re-assemble. Naturally I forgot which direction the oil seal faces but pretty sure the sealing side (side with the 2 lips) will face to the oil side of the pump....outboard towards the driven gear.

    Is this correct? Thanks
