So After two months of working on the bike (new paint, Fix carb leak, Fix brakes front and rear) I finally finish and 10 miles into my first ride of the season I get my bran new rebuilt front brakes dragging to the point where the bike stops itself.

Now here is the weird part. After an hour of cooling down and 1 swift kick to the caliper it is dragging alot less. Still more that I would like but can be at least driven home.

How or what would cause the caliper to hang and could it be caused by to much fluid. It seems to drag only when the brakes are hot.

The Caliper's MAIN Seal is seated in a PERFECTLY Round Channel.
Over time, ... The Seal Channel becomes contaminated with Brake Dust, Moisture and Brake Fluid.

Those ingredients combine and ACCUMULATE in the Channel ... behind the MAIN Seal.

The accumulation of Foreign Matter, there, makes the MAIN SEAL --> "Out of Round".
The Caliper Piston begins to BIND because of the Close Tolerances and the Piston loses its ability to retreat when pressure is relaxed.

The Piston sticks leaving the Pads on the Rotor.

    Solution:
    Remove Caliper.
    Remove the MAIN SEAL.
Clean the SEAL Groove completely free of all foreign matter.
Replace the Seal with a New one.

    Reassemble and Bleed Brakes.

I just did that a month ago and have only put 15 miles on the bike since the caliper seal replacement.

    Maybe i did it wrong.

There's another source of noise on the 900 rear Brake.

The Upper Control Arm that anchors the Caliper Mount gets its Bolt Holes warn-out to Oval Shape and the Caliper gets Noisy.

    Get a Longer Bolt.
    (2) Lg, Nylon Flat Washers.

Place the Nylon Flats against the Control Arm and tighten the Bolt tight enough to --> SQUISH ... the Nylon Washers into the Oblong Holes of the Control Arm.

That will keep the Caliper from moving.
