Wet Clutch.

    Perhaps its just that I don't drive aggressively in first gear, but I use energy conserving oil and never had a problem with clutch slippage.

    I heard that the only confirmed reported problem EVER was with Honda Shadows.

    Still - why chance it? If you use a good quality oil, you don't need those additives anyway!

    Interesting indeed. The previous owner of my Maxim was an airplane mechanic. He used semi-synthetic on my XJ. I have not been able to find a semi-synthetic without friction modifiers. I’m running Amsoil and I’m happy with it.
