what causes carbs to keep running high RPM after you let off the throttle? this only happens after the engine gets warm.

( full tune up, plugs, air filter, carb kit, carb sync just done by dealership)

    second issue...

What causes spit & sputter / ?not firing? on low RPM? once over 3000 - 4000 RPM - full power resumes. But 50% of driving time in city seems like we are running 60% power & engine running rough - not smooth.

thanks for ideas ( it is going back to dealership for better attention!)

What did the dealer really do? RickCoMatic had some interesting pictures on a set of "cleaned" carbs that he was asked to go thru.
sounds like carb cleaning and sync issues.
check rubber boots for cracking which will give air leak issues.
check butterfly shaft seals for dry rot or cracking, another air leak issue.

Simple check: could be sticking slides. Try spraying them down with silicone spray, move full-up with a finger and check to see if thet close completely and smoothly.
