    Share your good news!!

Since the "what did you do to your Yamaha today?" thread is so popular, I thought maybe we could try to talk about something good we did today.

Trust me, I'm from Minnesota, and bragging is not an acceptable trait. However, I've been thinking about it for a couple of hours and I think it's OK to say that you helped somebody - not for monetary compensation or an ego boost or anything. Maybe we can just share good things to encourage others to follow suit and maybe think of new ways to help other motorcyclists.

Having been on this forum for several years, I know there are several members out there who could say they helped me out. You know who you are. I now try to help others as they helped me - that's the goal.

Anyhew, after thinking about this for way too long, let me tell you how I helped somebody out today:

I was on my way home and getting off on an exit ramp when I saw some poor bastard pushing his bike up the ramp. I stopped to check - he was out of fuel. I was only a few blocks from my house so I ran and got a gas can with at least enough fuel to get him to the next gas station. I don't think he believed me when I said I would fetch some gas and come back. He seemed a bit surprised when I showed up again. Cost me 10 minutes and a couple bucks worth of fuel.

I think this thread is a great idea! Not enough of folks being nice to each other, plenty of noise in the world about folks being snarky to each other and bragging about it. Pay Nice forward!
To my shame I don't have any nice to add right now.......

I stopped traffic to allow momma skunk and her baby to cross the road.
Then I warned a guy 1/2 a block up to keep his dog on a short leash

I gave a big sackful of home-grown tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions to my banker, the postal clerk, and the guy behind the counter at Dunkin' Donuts.

But I kept the blackberries for myself..........
