I would figure the carbs would have to be rejet, but is that all? Both main and Pilot fuel and air jets, anything else?

according to the book i have. the carbs are the same. HSC32. pilot jet and starter jet are the same. the needle is the same. all other jets are different.

others might have an actual book to verify that information.

You need 110 main jets instead of 120,
but you might want to buy 112 jets, as that's what they run in the rest of the world,
and one of the "air" jets is different, like a 205 (??)

The 650 uses Y10 needles, the 750 uses Y13. Not a huge difference, but nonetheless...

Re: What do I need to change to make XJ750 carbs work for XJ

Ok, so I have PODs on the bike since it had no airbox when I got it, which means I need to run up +4 -2 = +2 on the main jets, and +1 on Pilots for every +3 on the mains, which means +1 to pilots. If i go as sugested and bump to 112 before I do all the conversions for intake mods, that would be a total +4 to mains and still a +1 on the pilots (rounding the pilots). So I should try for 114main jets and 41Pilots? Would this be correct? (no exhaust mods, stock 4-2). As far as the needles go, could i leave whats in the carbs now and be ok, or will I have to swap out the needles?

If i'm gonna do this, I wanna do it right the first time.

Sounds right to me. . .
The idea is that this is now your STARTING point to sorting out what your bike needs, and you will be fine-tuning from here, based on reading plugs and your seat-of-pants experience.

    Keep us posted !!
