Well, i races my 72 puma on saturday, got last..... its hard trying to turn with mini apehangers that hit your knees, and i was supposed to be in a higher class than i was, but cuz im 17 they let my go in another class, cuz my engine is special, but if there was a snowmobile behind me and i gunned it, they could catch me, easy.
Anyways, my engine is a 340 Sachs engine, one of the inspectors opened my hood and went WOW, he told me i had a Rokon motor, its worth more out of my arctic cat frame than in it, and he was surprised my head bolts have never been taken out/replaced cuz they blow up pretty easy.
the puma origionally came with a 292, but when it blew up, my uncle gave the frame to my grandpa, who got a 340 engine kit from marshels here in cass city.
so yup what do ya know about rokon motorcycles, i saw one on ebay, its a 2 wheeled drive behemoth, the guy said he has a rokon frame, and if we were to throw the engine in there, we could get 6K out of it 8O

Rokon is right up the road in New Hampshire. They make 2-wheel drive bikes.
    More like tractors.
I doubt the Mill is worth Big Bucks.

Are you sure that's not a ROTAX engine? Rokons were/are pretty
low powered rigs, not something you'd expect to see in a sled.

Hmmm never heard of Rokon so I went to there sight.
The biggest motor they offer is a 173cc Koehler single with ten horse.
Here is some Rokon motor trivia from the unofficial Rokon forum.

WHAT KIND OF MOTOR DOES IT USE
Back in the early 60s when the bike was first manufactured as the Nethercutt MK1 it used a Maico and then later a JLO motor. During the last few years under Nethercutt the switch was made to the Chrysler Power Bee 82007 motor that endured until the early 80s when it was replaced by the U.S. Motors 82031 motor. They are both 136cc and rated at 10 HP. The Power Bee design was used in many different applications. Rail saws, generators, dirt compactors, power drills, jack hammers and chainsaws to name a few. Here is an application table showing some of the equipment that use this motor. This is one tough little motor. Chrysler stopped production of the Power Bee and sold the rights to U.S. Motors. Most people feel the old Chryslers were built to tighter tolerances. The 82031 has electronic ignition and an AC lighting coil but is otherwise the same motor. Recently Rokonâ„¢ has begun to offer a choice of either the Honda or Kohler 4-stroke motor. These are basicly small stationary motors usually found in generators or lawn equipment. They are quieter than the 2-stroke motors plus you don't have to mix oil with the gas. There is some talk that Rokonâ„¢ will quit offering a 2-stroke motor due to enviromental regulations.

The old power Power Bee motors were two stroke, blown air cooled motors, like a snowmobile but, they never were 340cc.
So you may just have one there Schooter at 7 to 10 horse I guess you now why the other sleds passed you buy.
As far as money, for $5500 you get a brand new one.
Used the unofficial sight says perfect with its original accessorys $1500-$2000.

ya, i looked at some of the modeld on the nada page.... but the guy who told me was running the race, and he knows what hes talking about, and he's old too, but he said rokon.... he says people used to race them, but they'd get hurt cuz they dont hace a transmissing, just a snowmobile drive belt, so they couldnty down shift in corners and stuff.
my guess is that thsi engine could be a direct bolt in engine for racing...

I had a Rokon in the early 80's

At that time I believe it was owned by Brunzwick Marine Corp. I think it had a 185cc 2 strock and had a unique PVT and 2 wheel drive utilizing an electric motor and belt drive for the front wheel. Big tractor tire, no suspension unless you count the shocks under the seat.
The thing would go pretty much anywhere.

I think production was halted for several years because I was unable to get parts direct from them. Brunzwick Marine filed chapter 11 around hat time and Rokon became colateral damage.

I believe it is now owned by a private interest group.

    Fun machine.
