    HI All

I picked up my boxes of bits that will eventually (I hope) come together as an 84 XJ550 (euro spec). It's still missing a few bits - front mudguard/fender, shocks etc.. but also an exhaust/muffler. I have what I believe to be Motad
N-eta downpipes but that's it. Contacted Motad and it's no longer supported..

Will aftermarket stuff fro XJ600 fit with modifications, how about FZR thundercat or even FZS600 Fazer. Any suggestions gratefully received.
I'm not averse to using some flexi connections or welding on the odd bracket as needed.

    Cheers

    JS

Those later bikes have more forward-slanted engines.

XJ500/550/600, FJ600, FZ600 and the YX600 Radian all share (air cooled) engine configurations and their exhaust systems should interchange easily.

    Hi BigFitz

kind of what i figured/hoped. The seca II (what we call the 'diversion') is obvously different with it's slanted engine but the XJ600 (FJ600 in US ?)
over here is quite similar apart from the mono-shock and 'ugly-as-a-stick' styling (not a bad bike mind you I did own one for a coupleof years in the 90s :D ). Not sure we ever got the XJ500 or the 'Radian'..

    Cheers

The XJ500 was a Euro- or World-market predecessor to the XJ550s, they never came to the States.

The Radian came along later in the '80s and was a "parts room" bike with an XJ/FJ/FZ600 motor in the 550 Maxim frame. Not sure if they were sold anywhere except North America.
