I'm using oil.... About the only big job I need to do.

What work do you have left to do to get your bike to where you want it?

and to make it go.....im thinking some shaving of the block will be in order, some porting, some cams......EFI???

seriously though....i hate the way this thing looks stock. i really need to chop it a little here and there, make it look more like a cruiser.

Polish the bare metal... replace my 4-1 header with one that isn't rashed and dented... Stop bottoming out going into my garage... Finish the brackets for the MC and get some smaller gauges.

    - Then some other stuff I'm sure.

Where to I start? Finish the seat recover, finish tuning the carbs, get the MC sight glass in, new tires, clean, wash and polish. Ride!
This winter: repaint the tank and side covers.

Not really sure, I am sure she will tell me sooner or later.

She just had a frame up restore this past winter. If there isn't something to do, they get boring.

    Everything!! LOL

I need to get her running as close to perfect as possible first. Then I would like to put on forward controls, cut down the seat, get a larger tank, and then paint the tank and side covers to something custom that says shes all mine. I also want to get the aluminum polished so i can see myself in it.

It would take all day to answer that LOL. But I would like to get the side covers done and side bags mounted then repaint it for starts.

    On the high priority list:
Front end rebuild - wheel bearings, brakes, steering taper bearings, tire
    Rear end - tire
Engine - clean/rebuild carbs, tune and balance

    After that? RIDE.

    Low priority:
I'd like to do a frame-up now that I have garage space.

I still have to get the right side turn signals working (need to replace the front turn signal assembly to do it). Find ways to make the old parts pretty again as she is showing her age (dents in tank, crome is worn, logo's need to be redone). Rides great though and about 45 MPG so far. Decide on what types of mods and customizations to do as it is all stock but the windshield. Add some pics of it to my profile.

I know there was something I was meaning to do but, for the life of me, I can't remember what it was...

Check the air pressure in the tires? Nope, not that.
Buff up the paint on the tank? Mmmmm... No.
Armor-All the seat? Don't think so.
    Seafoam treatment? Nuh-uh.

Nope. Still can't remember but I'm sure it'll come to me.
