What is the best way to get rid of rust inside gas tank

    i have came across this many times but never had a def, way to remove all or most of rust effectively. i would be grateful for some pointers on a easy corrective measure to this. thanks

    Thumbs up on electrolysis - did it on a tank last year and it worked great! Easy to do too; used a spare computer power supply.

    I've done two moderately rusted tanks now using Phosphoric Acid (from a Home Improvement or hardware store)and gotten great results. It's usually sold as concrete prep.

    Note*** With the whole damn world becoming "green" there are now a whole range of concrete prep and similar products that DON'T contain Phosphoric acid. Gotta read the label carefully.
