I have this bike with no title. So I don't know what year or model it is. The other two I have are 1982 Xj650.

If you post the chassis number that'll help a lot (chacal has a thread on how to ID through the vin somewhere, I'll try find it)

XH650RJ Seca would be my estimate...........might even be an RJC (Canadian) model since it appears to have a YICS engine.............or engine might have been swapped from something else.

It seems to be a 1982 XJ 650 Seca. Like Len said it could be a canadian 650 if it has a YICS engine or somebody did what I am doing right now and put a 750 seca engine into a 650 frame :)

That isn't good, but then untitled the frame's scrap anyway I guess...

I think the info you need can also be got from the engine number (right side above the clutch cover, worth knowing anyway in case it's from another model) or from stickers on the wiring loom under the tank (unlikely given the condition but worth a look)

Also the TCI will have the model code on it's label (next to the reg/rec unit left side) this needs to be matched to the engine code for correct timing curve so may also have been changed if the engine has

It's pretty easy (hough a bit time consuming) to get a bike a new title in the U.S.

If the sticker from the left side is missing, look on the right side of the neck and you should be able to find the "short" VIN number. Post the shorty VIN and we can help you decipher it.

Same goes for the shorty VIN on the right side of the Engine case.

My guess: 1982 XJ650RJC - Canadian 650 Seca with matching YICS engine.

So it looks like its a 1982 Seca. Looks like 5V2, and the other two are 1982 Maxim

So if it has a YICS motor, there's been a transplant.

Check the "shorty VIN" on top of the clutch housing and see what it's prefix is. It won't be "5V2." And it won't match the bike's VIN.
