what oil weight should I use?

    I had seen the thread regarding the oil for wet clutch motorcycles, and was just at wal mart on a break checking out their selection of oils... I saw some shell to tell a t in various weights, and some mobile 1s... But wasn't sure which weight to get...

    All oil choices are temp-dependant.
    All grades of oil have a temperature range that they are suitable for.
    Anything from 10W-30 to 20W-50 is suitable for riding conditions in the lower 48, depending on whether you are a year-round rider or mainly ride in the heat of the summer.


    Since you are in Cali I'd reccomend anything between a 15W-40, to a 20W-50.
