what should I do with second bike

    I have bought 700 in parts to get my 82 650 maxim going.The more I touch the more things I have to buy.My experience with bikes is fixing mechanical things,no electrical.This 82 is an unknown quantity, but has mostly good parts to make a rider.But I bought the 81 a few days ago and it starts with the push of a button, so I have the 82 as a parts bike.Or should i use all the rebuild parts and get it going.It has no title, but a signed notarized paper from the oklahoma dmv that would make a title easy to get most likely. All I need on the 81 is to get the brake bled, the throttle linkage working properly. If I parted out the 82 I would then have no backup parts for the 81.I love these xj bikes.

    An extra bike is a nice thing to have. Something to ride when you're working on the other one. Something for a friend to ride when they don't have a bike.
