Adjusting the valves on an '82 XJ750 Maxim, as I'm removing the valve cover bolts two of them come out completely stripped and full of aluminum.
First question is, can/should I use a heli-coil......Second is, what size should I buy?
Although all of the bolts were grossly over torqued, only two of the outside (larger) bolts were stripped.
    Any help is always appreciated.

I used heli-coil. It work out great and was pretty easy. I believe I used a M6x1.0 with a 1/4 inch drill bit. But I have a 550. I don't know if it's the same for your bike.
