owner's manual for my 85XJ 700N says 26 psi for front and 28 psi for rear for 198 total load weight and 28 front and 40 rear for load weight over 198. It also says to use 30 front and 32 rear for high speed riding. I've been using 31 front and 35 rear and that seems to work for me. I'm not an aggressive rider. Just wonder what others are using and why.

I go with the high speed settings on my tags. most roads near me are 55 mph which translates to 65 mph. then you just gotta have some fun on these wide open roads.

I vary them based on what I'm doing and how much weight the bike is carrying. Same as with all of my vehicles.

At the recommended pressure the bike seems soft, but comfortable. At a little higher pressure it feels a little lighter but a little more responsive.

35 front and back... It felt squishy when I got it at 30 and 33 as the manual suggests...

But I recently increased the rear shocks one click and she feels a lot more responsive so I will probably go back to the recommended...

I try to keep mine at 33-35 front and back. I've had it at 28 and didn't care for it and it slides too easily at 40. Low 30s seem to be just right.
