After my buddy totaled his bike my life has been miserable my wife freaks out everytime I mention riding even worse when I do ride so I'm probably going to be selling my bike in the very near future :( I just need to figure out what it's worth $$$$ wise (considering I did a couple different trades to end up with the bike). It's an 85 XJ 700 X Maxim X with 23,338 miles no mechanical issues, will need a front tire some time this season but that's it saddlebags won't be going with it but I do have another front wheel, tire, and speedo gear off of a Frazier that I'll let go with it. Can anyone point me in the right direction of an asking price?

nice looking bike. ive found in all my years of buying and selling bikes i dont have much faith in kbb on motorcycles. some of their prices are way out of line on the low side .all depends on the condition and mileage. if you ever get the chance their pricing is on average of 3 to 5k a year if my memory serves me right so an average mileage on an 85 would be be between 75k and 125k like rick said condition and miles wish i had a few of my bikes gone i would love to buy a few more x there wasnt many made and they seem to be dropping like flies so they will be worth something in time. most of the ones i see are between 1k and 2k even see some original low low miles under 8k showroom going up to about 2500

It looks very clean. If it runs good, you should be able to get around $1800 I would think.
