what's the difference

    Hi, I have an XJ650 83 mod. I need a new throttle cable. The only one locally I can find that I can get immediately is one that says it is for a 1982 XJ650R. (PN 4K0-26311-00).

    Will that fit mine, is there a difference

    If your '83 650 is a Maxim with the stock "buckhorn" handlebar, it will not.

    The 650R (Seca) was more "sport" styled, and came with a significantly lower handlebar.
