Whats the wore on the clutch lever?

    Just wondering why there is a wire connected at the base of the clutch lever and if I can bypass it?

    That is the clutch safety switch. You can bypass it, but you shouldn't.

    My understanding from manual is its the clutch switch which is connected with the side stand switch and starting circuit. Would soldering the two wires simulate the lever being squeeze amd therefore allow me to bypass that?

    you can solder the wire together to bypass bike will then start in gear
    you can unplug it and bike will only start in neutral , bad if you stall at light

    best to keep it, may not pass inspection if it is missing
