So far it's been the xj550. We'll see how this Honda Magna fares, now. Has some pretty small but special shoes to fill after that 550.

Well my favourite bike would have to be my Suzuki GT550. A 2 stroke triple, it had a Dunstall race style fairing, clubman bars and expansion chambers. I had just passed my test and was still 17. It was loud, fast (A bit heavy) and none of my friends had anything like it!

I sold it 28 years ago for £350 - If I still had it, I could add another zero on the end!

My favorite is my BMW K1200LT. Always thought I would like a large touring bike with all the creature comforts. I was right! I do. Going to get up in 4 hours and ride to Spokane, WA. Just about 400 miles. Should take about 6 hours, one stop for fuel at 300 miles. Just a nice way to spend an early morning

My Maxim 650 is next. So light and a hoot to ride when it's running right. Full wind in the face experience

    I still have mine:

Every single one of the 45000+ miles are mine, from the Blue Ridge Parkway to Bar Harbor Maine; Manitoulin Island; Niagra Falls; you name it.

My favorite would be my first Maxim, a beautiful red 1982 XJ750. I rode it everywhere, met my wife and then we rode it everywhere. Had lots of great times with it. But good things don't last, had to sell it when my son was born to pay for bills. That was 20 years ago and I still think about it.

I'm still kicking myself for selling my '72 Triumph 500; sold it for the same reason-- new baby (first one) and no spousal justification for two bikes.

It's one of the reasons I put fork boots on my '83 Seca...

Many hours as a kid riding my MR50 up in the woods. Would spend 10-12 hours a day riding the trails and would come home just long enough to fill up both mine and the Honda's tank

Positively my 05' FJR. If I lost it today, and would buy another FJR in a skinny minute. A good horse with a BIG heart! My vintage favorite is my 79 XS750 Triple. That may change once I get the 900 Seca done. Keep in mind the "favorite" to me means all around looks, performance and ride.

Picking up on what Rob said, as kids we 'obtained' a 350 'New Hudson' no muffler, we would have a whip round for some gas & ride that sucker over the fields all day, in the sunny summer, until we were run off by the boys in blue for making too much noise. Now that's what keeps you interested in motorbikes forever. Wiz.

Just sold it this past year, a 77 XS750 2D. Had it for 3 years. Lotsa low end torque, good cruiser, had 10kmi on it.
Still have the 3 XS11's and it's a toss up between all three.

I concur RPG! My '80 XS11SG is by far my favorite bike!

SWMBO does really like her XJ650 Maxim.

Finally got my son's XV750 Virago running and inspected today. He is really stoked about it.

My absolute favorite bike that I ever owned?
A home built(I didn't build it) Harley Pan Head. Jade green, rigid with a big ass brown leather solo saddle. Jockey shift and suicide clutch with no fenders or front brakes. Pure attitude and meanness on two wheels!Definitely not a foul weather rider!

My Favorite riding bike would have to be my current Seca 750 I don't get to go on many road trips anymore and the smaller bike is more fun for the short work runs and day tripping. She's got a good a good bit of attitude in her own right!
