When to have carb clinic in Detroit

    I'm going to host a carb clinic in Detroit, MI (well, not actually in Detroit). For anyone that would come to Detroit for a carb clinic - When should I have it?

    while i STILL hope to get this bike running right before April (my choice) i would still come down to 'participate' so to speak...

    anytime you plan one, im there provided it fits the schedule (wifey and daughter ya know)...

    july could be really good or really bad...

    im gone 3 of the weekends, 2 to camp perry for the national matches and one weekend over to muskegon for the bike rally. there all back to back to back...


    if im laid off (talk around the company is everyone will be off although there is thoughts contrary to that for my plant) i could make it during the week or possibly one of the other weekends depending on the layoff...

    Well, since it looks like you're the only one interested we could do it pretty much anytime.

    If anyone else wants in it probably needs to be a weekend. Some people still have jobs.

    Late April would work best, or May.

    I am majorly big time in on this. I can probably come whenever other people can. I guess a Saturday that I have time to plan ahead for would be best.

    That said, next week could be good, if this never say die winter ever gives up.

    I'm in Ann Arbor. I've done some carb work, by no means an expert. Could we also talk about valves? I'd like to address that too. I want my baby to purr...

    I'll even bring an extra colour-tune plug, and my Morgan Carbtune

    As long as it isn't on the Friday the 13th weekend (June 13)

    If I happen to be in town and available I'd like to get together with other riders. I'll lurk this thread, as I'll just try to roll with what works best with everyone else.

    I actually can't believe this thread hasn't been more active, especially with all the nice weather of late.

    I've got some work to do on the bike, but it's running well enough to ride.

    I'd be interested in doing one in April/May of 2009. I have the blanking tool, sync gauges and the colortune plug. I also have a great brush for cleaning out the YICS passage.

    We can TALK about them all you want; actually adjusting them has to be done stone bone overnight cold. I'm working on a photo step-by-step using my '83 550, it's not ready yet.

    That being said, I'm all for it too once riding weather reappears. If things aren't starting to improve by March I'm going looking for spring and dragging her narrow ass back here. I've had enough snow already Irving Berlin can <expletive deleted.>

    Hey guys, this was actually from last spring.

    I probably will not host one next spring since I sold my XJ. I will however extend you the invite all XJers have to swing my shop to use the sync gauges and colortune plug. Please understand that paying customers come first, so anyone wanting to do this should hit me very early in the season (or anytime the snow is more than 6" deep).
