Where are the parts on the drive shaft?

I am looking at the Yamaha Parts and there seem to be quite a few parts at the end of the shaft where it connects with the U joint.

All I see on the parts I have is the groves at the end of the shaft, a C clip at the end of the shaft and the groves in the U joint. Is the oil seal supposed to be pressed into the U joint?

Just trying to get a visual of what I may need to order from Len.

#s 32-34 are at the final drive end of the shaft. They've drawn them exploded off the front end.

#35 I believe is the circlip that goes in the u-joint end of the shaft. Not sure/don't recall what #36 is.

Some driveshafts use a wire clip at the front end of the driveshaft, as well as a circlip......the XJ650RJ Seca being one of the models that DO use the wire retaining clip (all driveshafts used the "rear" cirlcip).

This wire fits into a groove cut into the splines of the shaft, and prevents the driveshaft from backing out (towards the rear of the bike) of the yoke/u-joint.

The shaft circlip (located behind the yoke/u-joint) prevents the shaft from walking into the yoke (i.e. towards the front of the bike).

Ok, now that makes sense. I see the circlip around the shaft so I guess is all a matter of fitting it into the groves of the U joint.

Thanks a lot for the clarification, now I need to do some cleaning, and at least replace brake the brake shoes. The wheel bearings can wait until I have this puppy road ready.
