    Need some help,
I have a serious problem and can't find the answer in the parts manual or in the Haynes manual.
the main air jet and the pilot air jet position in the carb confuses me, the Haynes and the Yamaha parts manual are not in line.
Can somebody tell me where the jet with the largest diameter goes?

    thx

The LARGER air jet size is for the PILOT FUEL CIRCUIT, and goes in the forward-most hole.

The SMALLER air jet size is for the MAIN FUEL CIRCUIT, and goes int he center hole.

The rear hole is for the air jet cover plate hold-down screw, and not all models of Hitachi carbs used this cover plate (or the screw).

Thanks for your reply, one question, looking at the carb and at the path which the air flows it means that the main fuel jet has the small diameter pilot air jet and visa versa? how does this work? it doesn't make sense to me?
