my XJ700N calls for a fram 6003 oil filter. Does it come with an o-ring? Any other filter that comes with the o-ring?

I have filters that come with oil rings but they are not always as thick as the correct oem or chacal o ring I will see what brands I have. I use rtv on the filter housing to ensure a seal. another thing I need to put on my list of things from xj4ever , crush washers too for the drain plugs,

I've used Wix filters for the 30+ years I've owned the bike as it is what the local autoparts stock for my XJ550.

They come with both the bolt oring and the housing oring. Never had any trouble with them.

Don't have a box as I just used the one on my shelf. A quick online search indicates for the 83 XJ550 Maxim:

Less than $8 shipped on amazon, which is about what I pay at the local auto parts store. Elsewhere can be had for even less online, but pay shipping.

Napa gold filters are essentially wix filters in a Napa box so if you have one close you can get them there. I believe through the shop I can get them for $5 or so. Their part number is 4934 and also works on my 82 650
