Was considering a front end swap. I love the cruiser style, would like a little more sporty feel. Was just curious to see if some kind of modern front end will fit. Seeing alot of good parts bikes on Craigslist. Cant hurt to ask right ? Any input would be great. Thanks

You'll need to measure the fork tube diameter (up by where the tripple clamps on).

Different year R6 and R1's have different fork tube diameters so you'll have to check, a good place to get those dimentions are clipon manufactures, for example I know from my bike that 05-06 kawi 636's have a 51mm fork.

Another consideration is the width between the fork tubes, the R6 front wheel is likely wider, but also doesn't have a speedo drive so maybe it'll be close? you might need to make a custom axle to make it work, if it's even possible. The advantage of making the front end swap work would be much better brakes as well as better handling and a more common front tire size. Good luck!

You would want to swap the trees as well as the forks so you can use the stock axle fender etc. Measure the tube on the neck for height differences and also you will have to check and see if you can get the right races and bearings to accomodate the new.
