have to pick it up soon so am needing help... have a friend that got a new sporster (cant spell sorry) anyhow its the correct diameter but i have have no idea how wide the tire it is.. its a brand new bike and the first thing he did was take off the front rim and put like a 22 inch spoke tire on it...

anyhow i can get the old tire for like 30 bucks (no rim) but is that too wide for a stock 83 maxim

    thanks for your help

I don't know how many sportster experts are here but not knowing tire size (molded onto every tire) you also probably have to deal with tubeless xj vs tubed Harley tire.

You simply need to compare the TIRE SIZES; just like with a car.

Your 750 has a 19" front wheel, if stock; and will take a 90/90-19 or a 100/90-19. What SIZE is the Sportster tire?

Just gotta read the sidewalls and compare.

As Metal_Bob pointed out that Harley is likely to have a tube type tire. He's going to need to look for the words "tube type" in addition to the size.

If I'd ever let my dog do that she'd never get off. Already regret ever giving her a ride in a golf cart.

Here is how we take her with us:
