Just wondering as I like the looks of the Seca tank as opposed to the Maxim tank. All others considered...I like the rest of the Maxim better than the Seca, handlebars etc. I had the 650 Seca and the tank bolt was a bear to get to...wondering if that's the same for the 750 Seca?

Tank pops right off my 81 750 seca, remove retaining clip and plate (which are hidden by the stock seat at the back of the tank), lift rear of tank, pull backwards, presto.

Do you know if the seca tank will fit on the maxim though?

As for that I honestly don't know. I can snap some pictures of the mounts on my seca tonight if you need, but I'm sure someone will pipe up that knows for sure already.

The Seca tank is longer than the Maxim tank,so the stock seat will need to be modified. Also, the Seca tank looks out of place (in my opinion) with the stock Maxim sidecovers.I bought a Seca 750 tank to use on my 650 Maxim, but after seeing how it looked on the bike,I decided to use the stock tank instead.
