Will an XS650 fuel tank fit a 84 XJ600

    I have an 84 XJ600 and i'm trying to find a retro fuel tank that will fit, ive seen an XS650 tank but no idea if it will fit, I tried a Thruxton tank and that was too narrow so had to re sell on ebay. Trial and error doesn't seem the best way to find out!! Any ideas?

    Take a pic of the frame with the tank off and let's compare it to the 550 Seca.

    Will an xs tank fit an xj550? Will a 550 seca tank fit a 650? just got an 82 xj650 with a rotted tank and want something that has flatter lines on the bottom and hopefully larger capacity.

    All "mid-size shafties" have the exact same attachment points.
    (except the 700's and "X"'s)
    an XJ650 can get an xj750 tank - - even a TURBO tank
    the 550 won't line up and drop on.

    Thanks for the info, do you know if an XS tank will fit? Obviously the rear attachment point is wrong but what about the tunnel and bung mounts? Thanks for any info provided.
