    okay i have a 85' xj700 non x. and i blew a head gasket and am having a really dificult time finding one for less than 100$. wos wondering if anybody knew if this...xj 750 head gasket... would work. it looks the same as the one for my bike. but if like the bore is a different size or something? or if anybody has one they want to get rid of? thanks for the help?

    From what I have read, the bore is the same between the 700 and 750. The stroke is what is different.

    If you have the XJCD, you can look on the xref to make sure.

    I just did a cross reference on the part number for the XJ700 (non X) head gasket. According to the XJCD the XJ700 head gasket is unique. There are about four different varieties of the XJ700 (non X) out there and, the head gasket will fits only those models.

    pm chacal he might have one for less. if not did you check with the local dealer, ebay, craiglist, i dont know what other trading sites are in the US but keep searching youll eventualy come across something good.
