winter project mod ideas

I bought an xj550 maxim as a project it turned out to get it running didn't cost me anything and its sound mechanically. I cleaned the carbs and put new brakes on it. It doesn't leak anything and runs great. I planned on dumping more cash into this project just to get to this point so I have extra money for mods. I plan on putting new gauges in and signals maybe other lights as well. I've looked through the forum and read all the work involved with doing both of those. I'm good with electrical stuff and better with mechanical. My question is what else can/should I do? I don't want anything radical like a bobber project because I like the overall look of the bike. so whatever you guys can throw at me i'm open to it. Thanks.
