I agree, It was nice yesterday afternoon 50 deg. But it was 35 and raining in the morning, dang could not ride to work. I've gotten a few weekend afternoon rides this winter but not many. Too darn cold for my old bones.

I'm good with a little more winter. (I still need to get my painting done and everything reassembled.)

I don't mind working in the garage when its cold turn on the heat and crank up the music . But my garage is full of plants right now if i want to work on any of the 3 i have to push 1 out and drag another over. Forget the bike on the lift its a few inches from the car. Cant wait for my new garage. Soon as it warms up enough to put the plants out i will be happy. Thought about spiking them with antifreeze but that will just cost money to replace in the spring.

I dunno, it's been rather entertaining of late. Went up to something like 46*F on New Years, and rained; then the bottom fell out. Then it was 38*F on Tuesday, but yesterday morning it was raining yet only 22 out. Single digits last night.

I still can't figure out how it was raining and only 22* F.

SecaRob.. i agree, especially with the frigid temps we have right now in Dayton. it sucks walking to class when the wind chill is at or near 0 degrees F and snow is 4~5"

however, I was on a lockup duty shift last night around campus and seen a motorcyclist riding his bike?! they had to have studded tires or something cause we just got hit with a big snowstorm yesterday afternoon. something i would have only expected to see in Alaska...

Has anyone really noticed how much worse the winters are getting. We used to be lucky if we got a dusting of snow every year. We had 2 inches Christmas day 8+ inches last week and more coming on Monday and Tuesday. I have family near Daytona them as well as all their neighbors are complaining that their heaters cant keep up its so cold for them

It's 5°F here as our high temp (-15°C for those of us on the sensible scale) -- a bit chilly even for us.

My family is up in Thunder Bay Ontario where I grew up - and it's currently -34°C there, with a high of -22°C today (that's -31°F/-8°F)

Still going to be a bit of a wait for riding season methinks....

It's global shifting that's for sure. We don't get NEAR the snowfall here in my corner of Michigan that we used to when I was a kid; I still haven't had to pay to have my driveway plowed this year.

Whereas, you poor SOBs south of the Mason-Dixon line have been getting hammered with some very uncharacteristic winters of late.

Fitz, now come on if memory serves me correctly you still have kids somewhat under the roof? My 2 boys will work for food when they have to.

moellear, you are right about these frigid temps. We have not had alot of snow but what has fallen just hangs around for days/weeks :(

On the bright side, my 8th grade CYO basketball team is undefeated with only 4 games to go so I do have THAT to keep me excited.

    WE NEED SPRING

Really?!?!? 8O A bunch of old men sitting around talking about the weather?
    J/k

It cant make up its mind around here. one day the garage door is open and the kids are outside playing. The next the kerosene heater is blasting away and the kids are on the Wii.

No, no, no, didnt you get the memo? Al Gore and the rest of the Libs are calling it "Climate Change" now.

I guess they felt like idiots talking about global warming when Washington was snowed in under 2 feet of snow for 2 weeks last year! :p

    I know I shouldn't.... But...

It's the middle of summer here and today is a stunning hot, sunny day without too much humidity and not a breath of wind in the air.... I hate sitting in an office on a day like this... Really looking forward to the ride home in a couple of hours :)

And I've said this before, in a similar situation:

    EAT A BUG FOR ME!

Kiwi Rat B8&^%$#@! anyway. BTW, Thanks for the compliment on the black bike. You wouldn't believe how SUHWEET it is to ride, for hours on end. I had one day last summer, when it had just got done raining so the roads were wet but the sun was out. The "Willing Accomplice" (alternate name for it) and I were having a grand old time splashing puddles on twisty wet backroads. Love my Avons!

Just went back to the previous page and saw your pic.

Looks like my driveway, mine has slightly less snow, but piled similarly.
