my 82 seca 650 has been sitting for a week now, because of our freezing weather I havnt been able to ride this week. This morning I went out to visit it and to turn her over but nothing after a couple of trys I got two very very load back fires. Is this a problem from the cold temps of something major? It was running so well...

    Yes.

You've got a bunch of problems all at once. First the oil is really cold, that makes it harder to start in the first place. Make sure you move the bike about a bit to free up the clutch plates. Next the battery is likely discharged a bit and in those tempatures you'll need a full charge.

Finally - it's cold - the air is more dense. That means you'll run lean. Backfiring is a sign of a lean mixture. If it was working before properly, then likely it's just a matter of needing a stronger spark to start. Once running it should warm up and sort itself out.

Next - if you haven't been keeping your tank full and using stabilizer you might also have a bit of water in the tank from condensation.

Charge, move, start... :D you should be fine.
