would like a bigger fuel tank for my 81 xj650

    Is there a bigger tank that will fit my 1981 xj 650 maxim ? Thanks.

    Yes, the XJ750 Maxim tank is a drop-in replacement for the XJ650 tank. There is NO modification of any sort required. The 750 Maxim tank gives you about another gallon of capacity.

    Right here in the forums is the best place. Keep asking, keep watching ebay, and eventually one will show up. Bear in mind, though, that almost everyone here that has a 650maxim and has not yet swapped to a 750maxim tank will be trying to get the same one. So.........be quick to the draw. I don't have any in the attic at the moment, so I can't be of any help. Good luck on the search, and have fun!

    I've got a spare 82' 750 tank. I'm not sure about fitment but I'm sure someone else would.

    On the 650 they bolt right into place the 650 I just got has a 750 tank on it.
