I'm currently rebuilding an 81 Seca 550 into a cafe racer and have recently learned that my tank has a pinhole leak in it, I don't have the tools or know how to re-weld a gas tank, so I'm looking for a different one. I know they're available from BikeBandit and OldBikeBarn, but I'm really trying to not spend $350 on a gas tank.

If anyone has one available and wants to get rid of it reasonably, I'm in the market.

    Thanks.

I was looking at that. Honestly I'm not that worried about the paint, but I'd like to not have dents in the tank. Also the title says 'with gas cap/key' but then the description says that the key is broken. So I didn't wasn't putting too much stock in that one.

The emblem areas have also been filled in on that tank. If it wasn't done correctly, rust will start growing in there. Why not just seal yours with POR15 or take it to a welder to be welded up? Good luck finding one without some dents.

You could consider a 19 litre XJ650 tank as well, that's what I am using on mine, bolts straight on and depending on what seat you use looks even better

I'm looking for a Seca 550 tank as well, but also the emblems. Very hard to find :(

I like the idea of the 650, but I havn't seen any on ebay with the knee indents yet. Lots of 750's, but those don't look like they bolt on.

The one I had already had the emblems taken off. If they're that tough to find I'm glad I'm not set on having them. best of luck.
