WTB xj750 maxim fuel tank to fit my 81 650 xj maxim

    I don't know if other years will fit my bike. I saw some on e-bay but most looked in bad shape. Thanks. My bike is a 1981 xj650H

    I made a 750 tanks fit a 550maxin by moving the rear frame mount for the gas tank back 1/2 to 3/4" and the stock tanks still fits. I cut the short frame tube and rewelded back 1/2" to 3/4" (I can't remember switch at this time) in place it works great. I now can go 200 miles before I have to fill up.

    Timataeo: yes, an XJ750 Maxim tank will directly fit and bolt right up to the XJ650 Maxim, Midnight Maxim, or 650RJ Seca frames.
