XJ 650 1981 Clutch Replacement Questions

    Hi Guys,

    My clutch is going fast and I need some help. I've searched the site and can't really find anything. Has anyone seen a complete walkthrough for a clutch replacement for an 81 xj650?

    As always, all help is appreciated!!!!

    The only one that I know of is BigFitz's 550/600 clutch walkthrough.

    The 650 clutch is slightly different because there is no "boss spring" and the 650 has a couple extra plates.

    It's a good place to start reading though.

    Your 650's clutch also won't have tabs on the plain plates to worry about either but is nearly identical to the one in the article otherwise.

    All of the assembly tips and practices I covered apply; and be sure you replace the springs.
