    Hi,
As a new member, i wonder why there isn't a membergroup for the xj 650 turbo and/or turbo seca.
How many of this special bike are still on the road.
In the Netherlands are 33 sold in 1983-1986 and Yamaha Netherlans couldn't tell me how many of them are still running.
I am curious how many members own a xj 650 turbo.

    regards
    turboger

I've got one! (Not running tho...gotta get the xj750 finished first). It'll need quite a bit of work, but luckily it's got lots of spare parts and I should be able to use alot of what I learned from the 750 seca on it.

    I have a 1982 650 turbo, but not a runner yet.

My 650 and 750 are running great, so it is easier to ride than wrench on the nice days this early in the year.

In the USA, I've heard 5,000 '82's and 1,500 "83's (could just be a rumor?)

Mine burned recently, so it's LAST CALL for any possible parts to be salvaged.

I've had five over the years. I currently have an 83 that I have had since 96. I am the second owner. My brother-in-law bought it new in 1989! I have the paper work to prove it! I really like the Turbos. A very nice riding bike with a few shortcomings, but still fun.

I have owned one which I traded for an FJ600. The guy who had owned the FJ bought it in France. He was from France and liked my Turbo. It now sits outside of his house with no second gear but still looks good. He hasn't put a "For Sale" sign on it but he will.
