Xj 750 Petcock

    does any one know if there is a universal petcock or one that crosses over to the 82 seca 750 that i can use. also is it ok to eliminate the vacuum line?

    Yes and yes. Just did a search and found 108 hits just in the Modifications area alone (including your thread); the search function is your friend.

    Pingel makes a universal mechanical petcock and sells adapter plates. Cap-off the (now unused) manifold pipe if you go to a mechanical petcock.

    I just put a petcock on my bike off of a Yamaha blaster. It was less than $20 and works great. I capped the vacuum and have to shut the gas off manually when I shut the bike off. Not sure if it will work on your bike. Take the petcock in to a Yamaha dealer and see what they have in stock.
