    Hi Guys I am new to this site so sorry if this is a silly question. But here goes I have a 900 Diversion and am wanting to lower the ride hight as I have little short legs, so I was wondering if it was possible to make it more of a lowrider with out mucking around with frame.

    Yes HOWEVER Any height you take out of the shocks you are going to feel right up the spine when you hit a bump in the road as you will lose it all in tire-fender clearance and will be more prone to bottoming out. You can reshape the seat to make it thinner and more narrow but again, you will sacrifice comfort. I did this to a sportbike in order to help make my wife more comfortable and after a few long rides she was shopping for a new saddle and had me set up the shock to its original height.
    Its a gamble, is what I am saying.

    Consider the U-joint angle when you lower it. I would not go much lower than 1" You should also look in to having the seat foam trimmed and/or replaced with a firmer foam to preserve comfort. Just having the seat lowered might fit the bill. The other thing to consider is to learn how to ride with only putting one foot down at a stop, which is a must-do for most dual-sport machines (so it's a valid technique for those of short inseam no matter what sort of bike you ride).

    Thanks for the advice but what is the U joint angle. I am now thinking about swapping it all out and fitting it into a maxim frame if thats possible

    Engine swap info is about halfway down the page. Seca engines are soild mounted. Maxim Engines are rubber mounted. You would have to do some work to deal with that.

    Question: What is your inseam measurement? I really do think that you can get the seat height where you want with a combination of seat modifications, lower shocks and raising the forks in the triple tree.

    30 inside leg. The problem I have is when I am sat on it I cannot move it, unless I am on my toes.

    Are you mainly concerned with backing the bike up? You should be feathering the clutch to move it forward when seated on the bike.
    Can you stand (straddling the saddle) and have both feet flat?

    No thats the problem I cannot back it up. I have to try do it on my toes as my feet will not reach the floor to get the purchase I need to move it.

    In that case I think you'll find the easiest solution is to park carefully, or to back the bike before getting on. I hardly ever back mine up while seated, and when I do it's usually on an incline so I can let it coast backwards.
