XJ ans XS 650 tank/seat differences?

    Ok, quick question, couldn't find the answer searching. Would the tank from an XS 650 fit an XJ 650 Maxim? Both are 1980 models. Found a guy parting some XS bikes, and since my tank is in sad shape I thought I'd see if one of his would, also may get a back tire and a seat from him if they'll fit on my bike.

    No, the xs has a single tube above the motor, the tank has too narrow of a cavity to fit on the xj's back bone(s)

    +1 on the tank won't fit directly. That being said, if you or one of your friends is handy at welding you could make anything fit. The only limitation is your imagination.
