    Good one :D.

    Ok, let’s see your creations. We can have at least 4 calendars (48 pictures). I’d like to see background with your creations. Maybe something related to the month or season or ??? Examples: Santa on an XJ, collage with various images, snowman with an XJ or whatever. Check our galleries for ideas. Let’s get creative.

    I would park my bike at the college I attend and try to get pictures with pretty girls in it, but I would probably get arrested or beat up by an angry boy friend. I'll see what I can do, but my bike is in the process of getting cleaned up, not as pretty as she will be, only been on the road for a few months and I am a college student...

    Edit: Wow, I am in a Sticky now.... Have had the camera charging all day, see if I can get some decent pictures at the beach tomorrow!

    For now, you might want to consider what I did; stick them in your gallery and link to them.

    As for the pic, I vote for having it stick out of a snowbank... <snort><chuckle><guffaw>

    Okay, I'm just being silly. How about a Thanksgiving theme for your pic?

    Anyone that is interested, I have made up a place for all of you to host your Calendar submissions from.

    I have extra space on my server that I'm not using, and I never touch my alloted bandwidth, so I'm happy to donate.

    Submit your pictures here: ( select the "Submit Pictures Here" album )
    http://www.elitepcrepair.com/xjc/upload.php

    View the approved gallery here ( Make comments too! ):
    http://www.elitepcrepair.com/xjc/thumbnails.php?album=3

    We can even vote on the pictures to pick the winners!

    Note: There is a Filesize maximum of 2MB, with no max quota. So you can still keep your pics at a high resolution, without totally eating up my server. :)
    (This is opposed to XJBikes 256Kb max, with a 5Mb per-user quota. )

    I moved them over to the approved section. I like that one in front of your garage, and the down river one.

    I like that fork and moon shot. You took that while in motion or during a ride?

    How to resize pictures - GIMP

    How to resize pictures – Photoshop

    Alternately, in Windows XP, you can right click on the file, click edit. This will open the image in MsPaint, then click image --> stretch/skew. Enter a percentage ( I.E. 90%) into both horizontal and vertical, then save it as a different filename ( I.E. Pic_small.jpg ). You can keep decreasing the percentage until you get it under 2MB.

    free, small, fast and easy crop and resize. I've been using itin since 1998.

    left click and drag to select what you wish to crop to, then ctrl + y
    to rezise, ctrl + r, then make a selection and hit enter. If you dont like it, dont save it. reopen the same image.
    to save, hit s
    I always pre-pend my croped or resized.
    original = photo.jpg
    cropped = c-photo.jog
    resized = r-photo.jpg
    both = c-r-photo.jpg

    Yesterday I took 30 pictures of various items for work, and cropped/resized/both in 10 minutes and then emailed them off to thier respective owners shortly after that.

    gimp and photoshop are both extra large for a small job. They do some great things that irfanview wont.
    irfanview does some suprising things. even my mom can use it! niether mom or dad can use gimp (free) and they dont have photoshop to try ($$$)

    I didn’t know that we had reached the picture max limit. It should be fixed now.

    Ideally I’d like to see the pictures directly in this thread or in the gallery. It would be a nice addition to our gallery variety.

    My thought in having a separate gallery was so high-resolution pictures could be posted without quotas or limits. I figured since I had the extra room and bandwidth, why not?

    Plus, I figure most of those that are posting their pics already have a small one in their coppermine gallery.

    I was just trying to keep some of the burden off your wallet Sno.

    THIS.

    If that fork and moon one doesn't get put on the calendar, I quit. ;)

    I'll see if I can come up with something -- I think I mentioned what kind of shot I'm looking for, but it would be impossible for me to do unless I composited two images. Anybody got some mad Photoshop skillz?

    Submit the two images and I'll see what I can do.
