Tonymyrs, I have a Mac Running System X and the Cd's work good with no issues. If you run System 9 you may have a few problems.
The XJ CD's are a wonderful resource, definately worth the 10 or so dollars. Check out the "sticky" regarding how to order the Cd set here at the front page of the forum.
    happy riding!

90% of the XJCD will be no problem -- it was designed to run on all platforms and utilizes your internet browser and PDF reader (eg: Acrobat reader) to display the files.

The exception is XRef -- the parts cross reference database. It will not run on the classic Mac OS at present. It requires Java 1.4 or higher and unfortunately Apple abandoned the classic OS at Java 1.1.

We are working on a version of XRef for the classic Mac OS. We have recently received permission from the publisher of a compatible database engine to distribute a run-time version specially for the older Macs. We are now checking to see what changes to the existing database are required for compatibility with the new engine and writing the interface. It won't have all the same capabilities -- for example, the scroll wheel on a mouse won't function -- but will get the job done one way or the other. I plan to offer it free to classic Mac OS users when testing is complete. The fly in the ointment is that I can't guarantee when that will be.

    Sincerely,

    Dwayne Verhey
