Hey guys, I found a guy that will make us front wide tire kits, so that we can fit an XJ rear wheel on the front. He needs a few measurements though and I dont have a spare rear wheel sitting around.

    This is what he needs....

"If you have a spare XJ rear wheel, please do me a favor and measure the drum OD and ID on the wheel - I think it is larger than the XV. I can modify the drum cover design to better fit the XJ wheel."

Let me know and I'll pass his contact info along if you're interested. He doesn't have any of the kits made and there is already a waiting list, but I'm not in a hurry, so I don't mind. The cost of the kit shipped should be around $120.

    Thanks

Ok....I'm looking for the dimensions on the Seca rear. If anyone has a spare one laying around they don't need I'm intersted in it as well.

That is where I got mine....it is a very well built and very well engineered. I have had NO problem with mine, and Matt is a good guy to deal with. The bike handles super nimble, and have had it up to 85 with nothing but smoothness.

Yeah, he already emailed me back same day. I just need to shoot him the measurements he asked for. I'm not in a huge hurry seeing I don't even have the rear wheel yet. I'll be looking for that soon though.

So wait... you're just putting the entire rear wheel on the front? Drum brake and all?

I'd be interested in such a kit for the look of it, but not if it means losing the disc brakes up front...

The drum is empty up front there is a filler cover that comes with and basically there is a billet chunk machined to hold a bearing and is spaced to hold the disc, and speedo gear. It bolts to where the differntial gear bolts on the rim, The disc just bolts up and is right in line with the caliper. That link is the same kit Timetoride.

Wait a min, did the price that was quoted include machining, speedo drive, mounting both front discs and balancing?
