1. Some members were not receiving emails sent from XJbikes.com. For example: "Forgot your password?" function to reset your password would not send email to some members. I believe this has been resolved now. Please use "Contact Us" form (see page footer link) if you still have email issues. SnoSheriff

There was a link to a discussion forum from the XJ owners page. I can not seem to find it now that the address sends me to this site. Does anyone know what the link is, or will that discussion forum be blended into this site as well?

No, I believe armyvet75 is talking about the old forum linking from xjowners.

Welcome armyvet75. That old forum will be shut down by Ed (aka Mr Fork) and this forum will be used going forward.

Yes the old forum is still alive (technically) at http://s7.invisionfree.com/XJOWNERS/index.php?act=idx

I'm moving here now too - as the old place is going to dry up... I'll be active there until that happens.

    INTRO:

I was a member of the xj micapeak mailing list for a number of years ( 01-03 maybe 04) and eventually dropped off list (got booted for having an email bounce and never rejoined... it was a sad time then). I then joined up to Mr. Forks list which worked for me quite well.

About myself - I work in Halifax on Coast Guard projects - doing maritime risk analysis. I ride my trusty maxim xj650 H (1981) all over the place visiting NY several times ( great roads around the resevoirs, adirondacks, catskills and the green mountain area...)

I like to put the miles on when I get out - anyone at all local care to meet up give me a holler.

    Cheers,
    woot.

I never introduced myself either. I am a 47 year old dental technician working in central Mississippi. Have been active on the XJ list for years and helped Rex Smith with last years NTCC = North Texas Carb Clinic. I spent a year and half restoring an XJ 750K. Had owned an XJ 750RJ before that. In fact the engine in my '83 is from an '82 Seca. Glad to be part of the community here and hope to be of some help.

Woot! We miss ya over on the Micapeak list. Super easy to join again if you'd like.

Anyhow - I dig forums more than email lists personally, but its good we have both!

    Good to see ya here!

I might join up again - it's just difficult to follow all of the lists and groups. Send a big cheers to the micapeak crew!

I might have to join up in digest mode...

    Woot.
