XJ Parisian Pod Mod

My wife and I are in Paris this week and stumbled across this XJ while out and about today. I snapped a few pics since I rarely see them out in the wild... Upon closer inspection, the answer to all the challenges with pod filters may have been found.

 

....sooooo how did it run?! Lol

 

Let's put it this way, my wife rolled her eyes when I said I needed to snap a few pics. Needless to say we did not stick around to find le owner.

 

If that works I wonder how well a sock over the filter would work?

 

Is that packing tape?

That looks like it would affect your air volume into the filter, which would affect your mixture.

Doesn't fix the always overlooked fact that pods don't always have the right velocity stack for the engine and airflow needed. Some don't have them at all.

When cracked open to fill throttle you better hope your air is flowing smoothly and efficiently

 

you guys are missing the whole point, it's the lumps in the seat !

 

Thats where he carries his croissants! But seriously, isn't the point of the pods to look cool? How cool does packing tape look. Also, isn't the other point of pods to increase airflow? Ummmm... Je suis confused.

 

That pod mod would make it half fast.

Do you think the front brake works well with all that rust on the rotor?

 

To be fair, it had be raining for like the preceding five days or so.

 

Ummmm, maybe it does not run with that "Pod Mod" so the rust accumulation is due to the front wheel never rotating!

 

Bikes in France run only if you love them. They go faster the more you smell of sex. Packing tape is a form of protection..
