XJ Sighting in a movie

I was watching....I mean, surfing the channels Friday evening and in the movie Revenge of the Nerds, when Ted McGinley, the jock quarterback pulled up to the nerds frat house with his GF on the back, he was riding an XJ. As best I could tell it looked like a 550 Seca - white tank with red trim. I couldn't see the side panel as it was blocked by their legs. Definitely an XJ though.

I'm glad it was the jock riding it and not the nerd.

This is close to a thread hijack but I think I can sufficiently tie it in
enough to count. Went to the mall today to get a couple pairs of

Except they misidentified it as an XJ400 when in fact it's a 550 Seca...('82)

 

I'm sure the site would like to have their mis-information identified for correction.

I was looking at the second picture attched by another user and you can see there is no front part of the frame by the header pipes.
My 550 seca and maxim both have frame tubes in that location.

then the other user commented "ou 550, c'est la même" [translated via google: or 550, the same]

 

And the riders on the 550 have no eye protection. What's wrong with Hollywood ??

Ya you 550 seca guys would say that... shamless self promotion I tell ya!! :lol: just kidding, good eye Fitz I wouldn't have noticed! just jealous cause I searched that site for a 650 max and came up wanting! :cry:
