I need to go pick up the non-running xj650 that was left out in the rain and bring it to my house next weekend. (its only like 5 miles -im gonna rent a trailer unless you got one and want to come) I wondered if anyone was in the bay area/east bay and was free to drink beer and tell me all the things i'm gonna need to do to make it run!

    north oakland_>

Only two problems with that theory.. First one is I do not live in the Bay area. I am about 450 miles south. Second is that working on a motorcycle in which your life just might depend on it while drinking beer usually isnt a good thing. Trust me I can drink alot of beer. But ask questions and most likely you will get answers to whatever you need :)

In the same boat here. 400 miles south and the family is coming (from Sacramento) for my wife's graduation (she earned her MBA! I'm so proud of her!) this Saturday. And I have yet to find a taste for beer. I need a lead time of three weeks or so to have a "spontaneous" outing. Wife usually tells me what we are doing by Monday or Tuesday of the week prior to my weekends. Sigh, someday I'll get my leash back.

heh. I don't plan to actually work on the bike while drunk, i just need a drunk guy to tell me all the problems it has and maybe if hes drunk enough he will sell me the parts cheap.

ill ask here too, but you cant substitute for someone who knows the bike just going over it and seeing the problems and solutions that it would take me weeks to figure out by asking - especially since i don't know the right questions.

i have always worked on cars before this, not bikes!

    anyway, offer stands!
