XJ550 fuel cap

    Hi Folks
    I have been offered a decent cap for my '81 550 as mine is badly rusted, but the offered cap has no key.......is it possible to swap the key barrels?
    I've had a look and can't see how it could be done

    You can also just swap over the chrome cover.

    How is that done? It looks pressed on to the base so looks like it would damage on prising apart. :?
