XJ550 Maxim peacock diagram

    Does anyone have an exploded view of the 550 maxim petcock? I have 2 different manuals and the pic in both is not the same.

    Tell us what you are having issues with? Fuel not fowling, not shutting off, what seems to be the issue with the petcock?

    Fuel not shutting off in the on position> All the diagrams seem to show the front part of it but not the back with the spring and diaphram.

    See, it doesn't show the back of the petcock with the diaphragm and every thing. Think maybe I put it back together wrong.

    That link has all the pics removed. I guess it is a older post and "photobucket" is no longer showing them.

    Thanks chacal! That explains a lot.I have a slightly different petcock and the rebuild kits seem to be for the style in the pics. I'll have to snap a pic of mine to show you guys.
