Well, to me it seems a tad high as i look at it, but I like to buy really low, in order to collect and restore ( sometimes sell). It is pretty decent looking bike.... Would be a great, easy, restoration candidate that already had a lot done.

    I do notice:
    -missing both side covers
    -missing the standing handle
    -gauges are faded out
    - neutral light is on but rpms are zero
So it's probably not running in the pic
-no cover around the ignition switch
-not the original seat shape or cover
    -missing seat strap

BUT if tires, brakes, shims, etc.... Are all done as he says, and is in good running condition, synced, etc.... Then it's probably a good deal to dicker on.

Of course, it does have the original airbox, boots, etc.... So get the rest of the parts back on it and you might be able to go higher, like around $1800 or so....

If it someone's here, I hope I'm not stepping on your toes. Just suggestions on how to increase you sale odds AND increase the value of your bike, too...

I know it was not perfect but seemed like a solid starting point and an ok price.

I got my XJ750RJ for free. Now that's giving it away!
Well, I had to buy the guy a coffee, plus one for the van driver, plus one for me, so I got it for less than 6 bux, and that's Canadian, so like 5 yourbux!

I paid 300 for this and got 2 spare sets of carbs a brand new airbox needs some work and clean the carbs . But if i sell the extra carbs should have about 100 in it. Bike has new paint and 15k miles. Now i just have to get the time to mess with it. Bike is really dirty been sitting for 2 years. DSCF1278.JPG

That's about what I got my red Seca 750 for, along with a pair of brand new tires, still in the cardboard wrappers, and a nos handlebar cover (only one of them.....still gotta get the rest).

My silver one was about $700, running condition, on the road.

Each of the other two came in combination parts lot/multiple bike deals......each bike came out to $100. One simply a complete parts bike, the other an attempt at modifying it, but not well done at all.....running on the road, but I'm re-doing it to original anyway.

Then I have to decide which one will get the tour pack and fairing.......Then I'll sell the others.

That red sure is purty.......I like yamaha red......at least the reds they used on the XJ's and other bikes of that era.....

Excuse me... did you cal that Seca dirty? Looks pretty clean to me! Not eve a tear in seat cover! You also my want to find a front fender or come up with some kind of fork brace, stock fender acts as fork brace normally.
